I wasn’t sure what my photo of the day would be today. Then we drove out to La Conner right at sunset. We passed a birch tree that was glowing, moved into a brilliant orange sunburst, and continued on into the hot glow of the west over the green Skagit fields. I wished desperately for a good camera but made do with my phone from inside the car. You can kind of get the idea.
