It’s always easier to work with a model, but I don’t always have one for practicing on. That’s when my remote and/or shutter delay become my friends. Here are a few self portraits I’ve taken in the last week or so, mostly as experiments for different lighting and layering techniques. Weird stuff.

We’re having the most amazing sunny spell here in Western Washington. The first part of the month was typical November, wind and rainstorms and heavy snow in the mountains. But this week it’s cold, crisp and bright. Everyone is soaking up every bit of sunshine possible before the clouds return for the winter.
