Tumwater in October

On our last drive over Stevens Pass, the maples were mostly over and the aspens had dropped a lot of leaves, but the cottonwoods were bright yellow and there was still plenty of color. Tumwater Canyon was swarming with photographers, for obvious reasons.

We were over in the Wenatchee Valley a couple of weeks ago, just in time to enjoy a two foot snowpack of fresh powder. The dog adored it, and we had just enough good weather in between snowfalls for me to get outside with the camera.
