November happenings & NaBloPoMo
November is going to be a busy month. To encourage myself to keep track of things here on the blog, I’m going to unofficially participate in NaBloPoMo and try to post every single day. It might just be a snapshot, but that’s better than nothing.
The big news, as you might know if you follow me on Facebook, is my new studio. I’ve rented a room in the Pickford Dreamspace, a collection of artist work studios above the Pickford Theatre in downtown Bellingham. I’ll have framed photographs and handwoven scarves for sale, a studio setup for still life and portrait work, and maybe some of my weaving equipment. I’ll also use some of my copious wall space to show a few of my father’s paintings or prints, and down the line there will be a joint exhibit with my friend Rich that’s going to be very cool. I’m planning on being officially open for the downtown Artwalk on December 6th, but I’ll be around before then if you want to come by and check it out.
The other event coming up this month is the Pleasant Ridge Gallery at Rexville holiday arts and crafts show. As usual, I’ll have photos and weaving there and we’ll be playing music at the opening reception. Come visit and get your shopping done early!
