Cell phone cameras aren’t at their best used through a car window while in motion, but the light in Tumwater Canyon was so beautiful as we drove through last Friday that I couldn’t resist trying a few shots.

September evening
We were driving through the Kittitas Valley right at sunset last weekend. As usual, I was having fun shooting the wind machines on the bare hills outside of Ellensburg, but then had my breath taken away by the view as we crested the hill above Bettas Road. Amazing.

a walk in the park
One of my favorite places to walk with my camera is the loop road at Washington Park in Anacortes. Even on a cloudy day there are amazing possibilities for shooting water, trees and flowers. Ferries slide by in the distance, and sometimes the Olympic Mountains make a brief appearance. It’s a remarkable place.
